A concept like an experimental kitchen: The Twins examines what happens when German engineering meets Italian design and Chinese excellence. The key question here: Can the sensorial ‘hi-touch’ experience of a knife be translated to an entire flagship store concept?
As a consequence, Solingen’s cutlery Zwilling’s store in Shanghai does not only feature a shop with the brand’s full assortment but also a cooking school, a classic elegant bar and The Twins restaurant.
The interior design was concepted as a visual and dynamic trip that appeals to all senses. The interior unties Eastern and Western traditions yet sticks to timeless, iconic materials – pure shapes combined with luxurious materials such as leather, velvet, wood and brass.
The restaurant is managed by Germany’s top chef with a huge affinity for Italian cuisine: Cornelia Poletto.
