In April 2019, British designer Tom Dixon opened Milano’s restaurant The Manzoni parallel to the Salone del Mobile – as if the yearly design extravaganza does not already offer enough.

The Manzoni was developed by Dixon’s Design Research Studio and is more than a restaurant: It is also an experimental show room serving as a presentation space for his newest designs. An example for this wonderful combination is the cloistral dining hall: The monochrome hall was fit with Dixon’s genius FAT chairs while the chic SPRING lights hung from the ceilings.

Besides the new design, the restaurant also awaits with culinary delights: Overall the Manzoni delivers a perfectly styled backdrip for the best of the Italian cuisine.

Stone from the Sicilian Mount Etna, marble from Verona or flowers from Sardinia. It is worth checking out material details in the Manzoni.
