This London restaurant was already opened in 2013 and since then has continuously worked on its reputation of being a total work of art. In sum, Sketch is four restaurants under one roof.
The eclectic The Parlour and The Glade that is decorated as a garden serve breakfast, afternoon tea, pastries, comfort food and cocktails. The stairs lead up to the Lecture Room & Library – the gourmet restaurant decorated with two stars and lead by chef Pierre Gagnaire in the look of designer Gahban O’Keeffe.
The Gallery is the art project of the house. Directed by British Turner price winner David Shrigley, a re-design of the more relaxed of the two main restaurants took place in 2012.
Since then, 239 Martin Creeds drawings – some of them funny, some mean – decorate the pink walls. India Mahdavi created pink furniture on which you sit as fluffily as on cotton candy clouds.
The porcelain designed by David Shrigley can also be purchased.
