The hotel was designed by one of Japan’s most famous designers and architects of the present: by Kengo Kuma who integrated traditional elements here. The wooden facade reminds of those manufacturing plants that are common in the area.
Wood is also an important element in the interior design. The combination of a visible ceiling and structured wood create a familiar atmosphere, a quality that you miss in many modern hotels.
The hotel has a roof terrace with a panoramic view of the city. Tokyo’s famous Skytree Tower can be seen from many of the rooms.
