The neo-classical villa now hosting the club Le Panther has quite a history. It was built in the 19th century commissioned by banker Simon Moritz. He turned it into Frankfurt’s first museum to exhibit Johann Heinrich von Dankecker’s sculpture “Ariadne on the Panther”. The Odeon turned into a restaurant, later into a dance hall and at the turn of the millennium into an attractive party location. The new club Le Panther was named after the sculpture. The building was pitted for it and regained its five meter roof height. Oak, brass and velvet dominate the interior. The outdoor area of the club was also redesigned completely.
Special Tips
Today, “Ariadne on the Panther” is on exhibit at Frankfurt’s Liebighaus.
