It is an institution in Paris: The Hotel Molitor Paris – MGallery by Sofitel is very well known – but surprisingly not for its competence in the hotel business.

In past times, the Art-déco style Piscine Molitor was a top-class public swimming bath. Tarzan actor and five time Olympic champion Johnny Weissmuller worked as a lifeguard here for a season. In 1946, designer Louis Réard presented his newly invented bikini at the pool side.

Good thing that the bath that closed its doors in the 80s received new glamour by the hotel brand MGallery. Since its re-opening in 2014, guests of the contemporary boutique hotel can enjoy the 28°C warm outdoor pool and the indoor pool from the 30s as well 124 rooms and suites, a spa, gym and extensive gastronomy.

From Thursday through Saturday, the Molitor Bar awaits guests with daring cocktails and DJ sets.
