Frank Gehry’s unique building for contemporary art reminds of a sail in the wind.

The facade consists of twelve elements made of steel, wood and glass. Gehry calls his design “glass cloud”.

In the interior of the building, there are eleven galleries spread across 11,000 square meters, an auditorium with 400 seats. The outside features several terraces with a view of Paris.

While the art can mainly be admired on the inside of the building, French artist Daniel Buren covered it with a temporary installation made of glass elements with bright color fileters in 2016 (photo).
