COMPOLUX

This multibrand shop is part of the Seibu department store in Shibuya and offers premium shopping in women’s apparel. Wrought iron fences, as seen across Europe, make for distinct design elements of the interior. Besides this common element, all featured brand follow their own approach in structuring their showroom. Especially the designers of Nendo Studio, who designed COMPOLUX went their own way: “We turned these fence elements into umbrellas that hang from the ceiling and act as clothes stands.” Nendo further developed hanging shelves as well as furniture that remind of park benches.

Nendo also designed a patio store located in the same building.
