Restaurant & Café - Berlin
No doubt: Berlin’s Westend is not just coming up, it is heavily booming! Part of the heyday is the CELL restaurant by chef Evgeny Vikentev that opened in October 2018. He created a stir with the Hamlet & Jacks in St. Petersburg and is considered a rising star of modern Russian gastronomy.
Evgeny’s menus are artful compositions that convey a sensorial message. And that makes sense because for art is one of the greatest sources of inspiration. Not surprising that he opened his first international restaurant in a city that loves art.
The functional yet highly esthetic design of the CELL also fits a city that hosts the world’s most extensive Bauhaus collection in its Bauhaus-Archiv. The blacksmith elements that surround the seating areas of the restaurant are especially are especially impressive. From these cozy cells – that also give the restaurant its name – guests have an open view onto the kitchen and can watch cooks composing their meals.
Take a close look onto the wine menu. The selection by renowned chef sommelier Pascal Kunert features stunning organic wines!
