Milan

An historic opening in one of Milano’s most characteristic districts: In October 2018, the Caffè Fernanda was opened in the Pinacoteca di Brera.

Not only the impressive painting above the counter is special but also the setting itself. The Cafeteria is located on the first floor of the Art Academy and is part of the museum’s round tour encompassing 38 rooms.

When designing the interior, Milano’s responsible rgastudio focused on the interaction of color and material as well as the revitalization of the architectural spirit that the building radiated in the 50s.

Guests can take a peak onto Francesco Hayez’s famous painting “The Kiss” located in the last room of the gallery while sitting on chairs and seats in the middle of the room and enjoying a drink.
