The ambitious Bed & Art Project (BnA) was developed with the objective to support Japanese artists in their precarious financial and spatial situation – which also enables an improved presentation of their work.

The deal is: they design hotel rooms free of charge, get a share of the booking revenues and have the chance to sell their work.

The first BnA hotel is located in the hip vintage district Koenji. It is three stories high, features a roof top bar, two rooms filled with works of art, a café bar that doubles as reception as well as an underground gallery including DJ bunk. The guest rooms are spectacular.

BnA also runs an habitable art gallery in Ikebukuro that can be reserved via Airbnb.
