Hidden between olive trees, in a small remote Berber village only 20 kilometers outside of Marrakech, the Berber Lodge greets its guests. The relaxed resort encompasses nine houses, each with its own garden access or terrace.
Architect Romain Michel-Michel-Meniere’s – since more than 15 years part of the creative scene of the city – project is adorned with a multitude of traditional Moroccan elements: earthy shades combined with colorful details, clay from the garden used for the walls, the roofs are designed with eucalyptus and palm trees from the village.
Those who cannot get enough of Romain Michel-Michel-Meniere’s design, should pilgrimage to the cult restaurant Nomad. It serves delicious Farm-to-Table-Menus. For the interior, the designer revived the city’s 50s flair.
