The skyscaper Torre de Madrid has been a landmark of the city since its opening in 1957. With a height of 142 meters and 34 floors it surmounts most buildings. The Hotel Hotel Barceló Torre de Madrid openend in 2017 on nine of the floors – with the signature of one of the city’s famous sons: Jaime Hayon.

“I wanted to create a very special and unique place that represents a new vision of Spain. A vision removed from traditional aesthetics. Regardless of the fact that Madrid is my home town, it stands for Spain’s variety and richness”, says Hayon.

In this boutique hotel, the designer takes guests on a visual trip across cultural references of his country’s history. Roman arches meet opulent colors and textures of Arabic and Moorish interiors as well as contemporary furniture stemming, among others, from Hayon’s collaboration with Scandic label &tradition.

The wellness area on the 8th floor is all about slowing dowin, thanks to its indoor pool, sauna, shower area, sun terrace and spa rooms.
