Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio went on the trails of alchemists for Hong Kong’s Alto restaurant. The DRS team assigned one of the four elements air, water, earth and fire to every piece of furniture and design element. The objective: to transform the ordinary to the extraordinary.

DRS’s first restaurant in Asia celebrates its skyscraper skyline. Huge panoramic windows invite the exterior into the restaurant. On the inside the alchemistical gold plays a key role: in the shape of Dixon’s Melt lamps of 230 gold.

The menu of the grill features delicacies: from tenderloin to sirloin steak of grass-fed Argentinian cattle. The Japanese Wagyu beef is especially exclusive.
