Alsterhaus

Store
Hamburg

What Harrod’s is for London, La Rinascente for Milan and Bloomingdale’s for New York, the Alsterhaus is for Hamburg. Openened on April 24, 1912 as department store „Hermann Tietz“, the house is still on trend after 100 years.

On 24,000 square meters, an assortment of international competency is presented in an exclusive ambience of historic substance and contemporary interior.

In 2016, designer Sebastian Herkner created the elegant interior for the Luxury Hall for international design and trend labels on the ground floor. For that, he worked with fine materials such as mirrors, leather and hand-blown ceramics.

No traditional department store without a gourmet department. On the fourth floor of the Alsterhaus, it is all about truffles at the „Artisan de la Truffe“.
